2 people seriously hurt after shooting in Boston

Two people were seriously hurt when they were shot in Roxbury Wednesday night, Boston Police said.

Police found gunshot victims at 225 Dudley St. and 11 Mt. Pleasant St. in Roxbury around 8:37 p.m. Wednesday, Sgt. Detective John Boyle, the Boston Police Department’s chief spokesman, wrote in an email. Both people were taken to local hospitals with what were believed to be life-threatening injuries.

The addresses where the two people were found are around the corner from one another.

By 9:40 p.m. Wednesday, their conditions had been upgraded and they were expected to survive their injuries, Boyle said.

Homicide detectives are continuing to investigate the shooting, he said. No arrests have been made.
