Director of Investigations

Job Summary:
STIRM Group brings together a group of the most qualified talent in security, training, investigations, and risk mitigation/management for personal, business, and public agency needs. We are a disabled-veteran small business and are looking to add a qualified Director of Investigations to our team. The Director of Investigations will oversee the daily operations of a team of investigators and manage the entire investigations department. This position will work directly with the company President to develop a business plan and achieve long-term goals for the investigations team.

Please submit your resume to be considered for this position. In lieu of a cover letter, we request a two-page writing sample. This shall be no more than 500 words, line spacing 1.5, in a Times New Roman font, size 12.  The writing assignment requires you to list 10 people, from the past or present, that you would invite to dinner and why.  There are no limitations as to who the 10 people can be and they can be from the past or present, alive or deceased. Then tell us why you would invite each of the individuals that you have chosen.

Responsibilities:

  • Hiring qualified investigators of different levels
  • Assigning, monitoring, supervising and coordinating activities of investigators
  • Developing an investigation plan including tasks, hours, budget, staffing etc.
  • Researching applicable laws and policies for each case and ensuring all requirements are met
  • Managing the investigations department’s budget and meeting gross revenue goals
  • Vetting potential clients and identifying needs and expectations
  • Maintaining relationships with clients and acting as a concierge between STIRM and clients
  • Promoting STIRM’s investigations services and bringing in new clients
  • Creating promotional materials for the STIRM investigation department to disseminate via email, print, social media, and website
  • Overseeing I-Sight software by training directly with I-Sight, setting up all investigators, providing training to those new to the software, assigning cases, reviewing cases, making sure all deadlines are met

Required Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in criminal justice, or
  • Juris Doctorate
  • 10-years investigations experience
  • 5-years of experience supervising investigators

Travel:

Job Summary:
STIRM Group is a group of the most qualified talent in security, training, investigations, and risk mitigation/management for personal, business, and public agency needs. We are a disabled-veteran small business and are looking to add a qualified Director of Training to our team. This position will manage the operations of the STIRM Group Training Consortium division.

The STIRM Group Training Consortium has been created to bring together a group of professionals who have a balanced mix of real-world experience and academic success. Every instructor is a subject matter expert in their chosen field. The SGTC allows participants access to some of the nation’s best talent in their fields without having to bear the cost of travel and lodging. The Consortium allows trainers to represent themselves, their services, and any affiliation they have with an organization. We market each trainer as an expert we sought to teach at our training sessions, bringing in the best outside talent.

  • Secure qualified and sought-after trainers that specialize in security, threat assessment, risk mitigation, law enforcement, and similar subjects
  • Create and distribute contracts for our trainers
  • Identify and secure training venues
  • Contract negotiations for training venues
  • Work in tandem with the social media team to ensure the website remains up-to-date with information on upcoming trainings that are scheduled.
  • Work with our marketing team to create promotional and marketing materials for training sessions to spread via email, print, social media, an our website.
  • Project cost per head for each event
  • Construct fair pricing for each training
  • Recruit trainees

Director of Compliance for Government Contracts

Job Summary:

We are a disabled-veteran small business and are looking to add a qualified Director of Compliance for Government Contracts to our team. This position will oversee the set-up, enhancement, and maintenance of all tasks involving state and federal contracts. This includes keeping our registration with SAM, SBA, VA and COMMBUYS active and up to date, monitoring and applying for appropriate contracts, developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, negotiating terms and conditions of contracts, actively monitoring projects to ensure contract obligations are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and administer a portfolio of all government contracts and be the primary company interface with the government’s contract and procurement representatives
  • Own the external and internal work required to establish STIRM Group’s government contracts, and sub-contractor and teaming agreements with partners
  • Accountable for contract compliance and reporting for all contracts within the portfolio through the administration and evaluation of STIRM Group’s policies, procedures, and operating practices
  • Manage and ensure contract-related documents are maintained accurately and on a timely basis in accordance with customer and firm requirements
  • Participate in account planning and go-to-market activities in support of government contracts at the account level
  • Maintain contract records and documents in accordance with policy
  • Ensure contracts information systems (internal/external) are accurate and maintained according to requirements/procedures
