Popular Western Mass. ice cream stand, petting zoo open for the season

Looking to enjoy homemade ice cream? Or maybe you feel like hanging with farm animals? Or both?! McCray’s Farm is back to offer all its fun festivities this 2025 season.

While the South Hadley farm’s petting zoo is open year-round, the creamery officially opened April 1, so guests can now enjoy their homemade ice cream, farm-to-table fresh milk and cheese.

Hours are operating from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. everyday. Breakfast and lunch options are available.

Watch below to see what the farm is offering now.

The season will continue to add more fun.

Starting April 11, mini-golf will be back everyday from open to close. Glow-golf will open on the farm May 1.

The farm is opening “the bullpen” June 6, offering live music, yard games, beer, concessions and more, the business said on social media.

Fall activities through October will include pick-your-own pumpkins, wagon rides, live music in the pavilion and haunted hayrides.

Rounding out the 2025 season in the winter, the farm will offer its annual holiday light stroll.

McCray’s Farm is located at 55 Alvord St. in South Hadley. You can keep up-to-date with the farm on its website here.
