Hoping to prevent ‘Storrowing’ in Boston, officials ramp up new program

The beginning of September can be a feast for the roads lining the Charles River in Boston and Cambridge.

As thousands of leases turn over and Boston welcomes a bevy of new residents and college students, expectations are that at least some will mistakenly take a rental moving truck down the cars-only sections of Storrow Drive, Soldiers Field Road and Memorial Drive and become trapped by their low-clearance bridges.
