A person was shot and killed in Lawrence early Monday morning, according to Essex County District Attorney Paul Tucker’s office.
The shooting took place at 81 Bennington St. at around 1 a.m., Michael Keefe-Feldman, a spokesman for Tucker’s office, wrote in an email.
An investigation into the shooting is “active and ongoing,” according to Keefe-Feldman.
NBC10 Boston reported four people were taken to the hospital following the early morning shooting, citing the Lawrence Fire Department.
No additional information was immediately available, and neither the Lawrence Police Department nor the Lawrence Fire Department could be reached for comment.
