Darian Gonzalez knows how it feels to be an emerging musician, trying to get a foot in the door.
That’s why Gonzalez is hosting “Under the Spotlight: Summer Jam Showcase,” a variety show set to feature up-and-coming rappers and musicians from throughout the Pioneer Valley, at CitySpace in Easthampton. The show will be held in the Blue Room at Old Town Hall, 43 Main St., on Aug. 15.
Gonzalez, who was born and raised in Holyoke, said music has always been a part of their life.
