Massachusetts man drove 108 mph on New Hampshire interstate, police say

A Massachusetts driver going 108 mph on Interstate 93, according to police, is now facing multiple charges.

New Hampshire State Police is attempting to deter speeding on the interstate. During a high-visibility traffic enforcement initiative, a state police aircraft saw a 2015 BMW 228i going 108 mph, police said.

The driver of the BMW was stopped and identified as Joshua Dube, 29, of Methuen, Massachusetts. He was taken into custody on charges of reckless operation and failure to display license plates.

But he wasn’t the only one. Troopers also stopped three other drivers for speeds of more than 100 mph. Plus, police said, there were 17 drivers going more than 90 mph.

“The New Hampshire State Police will continue these types of enforcement efforts through the spring and summer seasons to improve highway safety and reduce crashes,” state police said on Facebook.
