Walpole remains undefeated following recent wins over Grafton, Braintree and Reading and stays on top of our Bay State Conference rankings this week.

Pre-season player to watch Caitlyn Naughton has paced the team’s offense and its march toward a hopeful reappearance in the Division II state championship later this season. The Timberwolves have games against Brookline, Newton North and Weymouth on the horizon, but its next big task will come against Notre Dame Academy on May 9.

Newton North was the big mover inside the Top 5. The Tigers have won three in a row against Brookline, Braintree and Needham and their only loss so far this season has come against Natick in a one-goal game. The program’s next game is on Thursday against Milton. It’s biggest test of the season is on May 6 when it takes on Walpole.

Natick cracked the Top 5 following a win over Milton. The program was previously on a four-game losing skid, with losses to Weymouth, Wellesley, North Andover and King Philip, but bounced back with the win on Tuesday. The team’s next game is on Thursday against Braintree.

Brookline slid up two spots to No. 6 following back to back wins against Framingham and Weymouth. The Warriors opened their season with a win against Newton South before going on a losing skid, dropping games to Natick, Weston, Acton-Boxborough, Needham, Wellesley and Newton North.

The program will put its current run of play to the test when it takes on Walpole on Thursday.
