
No. 7 Westfield handed No. 5 Agawam its first loss of the season after escaping the Brownies’ (5-1) home field with a hard-fought, 14-13 victory.
The Bombers (4-2) offense was spearheaded by Milana Shuman, Ellie Andrews and Kayli Bush, who put together a second-half comeback after trailing by three at the half.
Shuman netted five goals, Andrews tallied four and Bush notched a hat trick in the contest.
As for Agawam, Isabella Spaulding and Olivia Govoni both scored hat tricks.
In net, Leena Azam had seven saves for Westfield while Kilee Barna recorded six for Agawam.
Both teams will see the field again on Tuesday April 22. Agawam will play East Longmeadow, while Westfield will play West Springfield.
