The Lions started their season in dominant fashion on Saturday.
Ludlow boys ice hockey rolled past Agawam, 8-1, in the Lions’ season-opener at the Olympia Ice Center.
AJ Stupak starred for the Lions with two goals and two assists. Nick Deroin and Sean Kefalas matched Stupak with two goals each, with four other goal scorers opening their accounts on the season.
William Mitus also earned a point with an assist on Stupak’s first goal.
Andy Holton picked up Agawam’s lone goal of the night, with Anthony Barbarini assisting on the play.
Ludlow (1-0) will look to maintain momentum when the Lions face Minnechaug on Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 8:30 p.m. at the Olympia.
Agawam (0-1) will look to bounce back when the Brownies take on West Springfield on Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the Olympia.
