A video of the person suspected to have shot 11 students, two fatally, on the campus of Brown University on Saturday was released by law enforcement.
The video is from the Barus & Holley Engineering building at 184 Hope St., in Providence, Rhode Island, where the shooting broke out just after 4 p.m. on Saturday, according to Providence Mayor Brett Smiley in a second press conference on Saturday.
It showed the suspect, who is believed to be a man, in all black clothing leaving the building and walking on Hope Street. He then took a right on Waterman Street. His face is not visible in the video.
The suspect may have been wearing a camouflage gray mask and could be in his 30s, but that information is not confirmed, law enforcement said.
The shelter in place order was still in effect as of 10 p.m. for Brown University and the surrounding community, Smiley said.

Officials said the number of shooting victims has risen to 11, with the latest reported injury being non-life-threatening. It remains unclear whether that individual is a student, as the other victims are.
It is unclear how the suspect entered the building, where a final exam was taking place between 2 and 5 p.m., according to the officials.
It is not clear whether the shooting happened during the exam, nor the exact individuals who were inside the building at the time of the shooting.
A family reunification center at Brown University was set up at 7 p.m., Smiley said. Students have been relocated to receive support services at a secure location, the Brown University provost stated.
“Lock doors, silence phones and stay hidden until further notice,” an emergency statement at 4:22 p.m. from the university said.
“Remember: RUN, if you are in the affected location, evacuate safely if you can; HIDE, if evacuation is not possible, take cover; FIGHT, as a last resort, take action to protect yourself. Stay tuned for further safety information.”

University officials initially told students and staff that a suspect was in custody, before later saying that was not the case and that police were still searching for a suspect or suspects, according to alerts issued through Brown’s emergency notification system.
