The Agawam boys hockey team came out in style for Senior Night, as the Brownies powered past Chicopee, 8-5, in Wright Division action on Saturday at the Olympia Ice Center in West Springfield.
It was a night of goals, memories, and plenty of heart on the ice.
Agawam (2-11) honored seniors Anthony Barbarini, Casey Thomas, Andy Holton, Nick Brown, Gavin Ogozlek, Jackson Lariviere, Noah Beavis, Brady Blanchette and Joey Wilkinson with a much-needed win against Chicopee.
In the net was Blanchette, who played the entirety of the game and made 22 saves.
Holton led the charge with a hat trick and four assists in a seven-point standout performance. Braden Parrelli also had a hat trick to go with an assist, while Jackson Bates (1G, 3A) and Ivan Gonzalez (1G) also aided the cause.
Chicopee goalies worked hard in net, as Andy Gouin had 30 saves while Gabe Loinaz chipped in with four saves.
Aidan Nadeau led Chicopee (1-10-2) with two goals and an assist, fighting to keep the game alive.
Agawam will play again on Feb. 4 against McCann Tech while Chicopee will host Taconic on Feb. 5.
