Karim Thompson‘s 14 points led Athol past Pioneer Valley, 46-20, on Wednesday night. Ethan Goodwin also chipped in ten points for Athol. Brody Brockney had nine.
The win improves Athol’s record to 1-1. The Panthers falls to 0-3.
Matt Richotte scored a team-high 11 points for the Panthers. Hayden Girard chipped in five.
Athol led by a point at the end of the first quarter, but that lead ballooned to 13 at halftime.
Athol’s next game is on Thursday on the road at Easthampton. Pioneer Valley’s is on Monday against Frontier at home.
