Win-loss record at end of Springfield off-duty police assault case? Less than impressive for AG and FBI

SPRINGFIELD — At the close of the fifth and final Nathan Bill’s beating and police cover-up trial, this was the score on the eight-year investigation: three wins versus about a dozen courtroom losses or case dismissals.

The last trial wrapped up last week in Hampden Superior Court, after a judge rained a torrent of criticism on the state Attorney General’s office and the U.S. Department of Justice.
