Where to watch New York Liberty vs. Atlanta Dream free WNBA stream today

A pair of teams in the thick of the jumble at the top of the WNBA standings meet for the fourth and final time in the regular season on Saturday, Aug. 23 at the Gateway Center in College Park, Ga. where the Atlanta Dream will host the New York Liberty.

The game is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. EDT and will be broadcast on CBS. Fans looking to watch this WNBA game can do so for free by using DIRECTV, which offers a free trial, or FuboTV, which also offers a free trial and up to $30 off your first month. Paramount+ starts at $7.99 a month and Paramount+ with SHOWTIME is $12.99, and the service also offers a free trial.

The Dream enter this matchup with the second-best record in the WNBA at 23-13, half a game ahead of the Las Vegas Aces, and a full game up on the Phoenix Mercury and the 22-14 Liberty. New York however, holds the advantage in the season series, and with a win Saturday, would clinch the tiebreaker over Atlanta.

The Liberty have lost three of their last four while the Dream are coming into this game off one of their most important wins of the season, a 75-73 victory on the league-leading Minnesota Lynx.

Last month when these teams last met, Leonie Fiebich was the game’s leading scorer with 21 points while Breanna Stewart was the only other player on New York with double-digit scoring as she had a double-double with 18 and 10 rebounds in a 79-72 home win for the Liberty. But Stewart will be missing her 13th straight game. Counting the game where she was injured and only played three minutes, New York is 5-8 in games without the two-time MVP.

In Atlanta’s win over the Liberty this season, the Dream had five players in double figures with Brionna Jones leading the way with 21 and Allisha Gray right behind her with 20, nine rebounds and six assists. Rhyne Howard was the only starter to score fewer than 10 points, and she’s been on a tear as of recent, averaging 19 over her last five games.
