WESTFIELD — The Our Community Table Westfield Soup Kitchen serves 70 meals a day, six days a week, to city residents in need of a meal, and often, some company.
Soup Kitchen Board President Katie Chikora said the kitchen, at 101 Meadow St. in Westfield, is always accepting food and financial donations, and right now is in extreme need of a different kind of help: volunteer board members.
“We currently have seven members, and we are looking to grow our membership to approximately 12,” said Chikora. “As my term ends as president in June 2024, I am seeking a replacement within the next two-three months so that I can effectively transition the responsibility.”
