WESTFIELD — There’s finally a name for the city’s largest construction project: Westfield River Elementary School.
School Committee members voted unanimously at their March 4 meeting to adopt the new name for the grade school rising on Franklin Street, next to Franklin Avenue Elementary School. They also agreed it isn’t yet time to start work on building a new high school.
