LINCOLN, Neb. — Video shows a man in a construction vehicle ramming police cruisers after officers responded to a report that he was damaging businesses and vehicles with it, KOLN reported.

The Jan. 14 incident began when Samuel Peyrot, 36, began using a skid-steer loader to hit vehicles at a gas station and in a Home Depot parking lot, according to the report. He had taken the vehicle from his employer.

When officers arrived on the scene, Peyrot drove the loader toward Lincoln Police Department cruisers, hitting one with the officer still inside, surveillance footage shows. The officer then got out of the cruiser and drew his gun, according to the report.

The suspect was taken into custody moments later, according to the report. He was charged with criminal mischief, second-degree assault and second-degree assault on an officer.
