Trial date set for Hadley woman who police say attacked sheriff’s deputies with bees

SPRINGFIELD — Minus her beehives, Rebecca “Rorie” Woods made an impassioned plea Wednesday to have a long-running criminal case against her dismissed.

Woods was arrested and prosecuted after she allegedly released hundreds of honeybees against a group of Hampden County sheriff’s deputies executing an eviction at a friend’s house in Longmeadow in 2022.
