This is where kiddos can get a teddy bear with brunch this weekend

Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse is inviting families to a warm-and-fuzzy brunch next Sunday.

The restaurant’s location at 55 Boylston St. in Chestnut Hill is hosting a Teddy Bear Brunch on Jan. 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event will feature a brunch menu for children and adults, cookie decorating and a book reading from celebrity guests Kelly Sullivan of Boston25 and Lara Eurdolian King, author of “Charlie at the Pom Springs Hotel.” Every child will be sent home with their very own Davio’s teddy bear.

Kids can choose one of the follow menu items:

  • Scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit
  • Choice of buttermilk pancakes (plain, chocolate chip or strawberry)
  • Choice of pasta and sauce (penne, spaghetti, gnocchi, macaroni with butter, tomato sauce, Bolognese or meatball)
  • Mac & cheese
  • Cheese and tomato pizza
  • Cheese, tomato and pepperoni pizza
  • Chicken fingers and french fries
  • Dessert is a choice of a single scoop of homemade ice cream or a hot fudge sundae

Adults can choose one of the following menu items:

  • Pancakes with apple butter and maple syrup
  • French toast with caramelized bananas, brown sugar and maple syrup
  • A bagel with smoked salmon, capers, cream cheese, onion and tomatoes
  • Prime flat iron with poached eggs, popover and Hollandaise sauce
  • Potato gnocchi with organic mushrooms and truffle butter
  • Dessert is a choice of a miniature warm chocolate cake with panna cotta or a berries and cream mille feuille.

The experience costs $45 for children and $65 for adults, including brunch and one mimosa. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and people can email Casey@davios.com to register. Space is limited.
