A Cumberland Farms gas station in Massachusetts sold a winning $1 million lottery ticket that was claimed on Tuesday.
The $1 million prize was from “$2,000,000 50X Cashword,” a $10 scratch ticket game released in 2024. There’s still two $1 million prizes remaining to be claimed as of Oct. 1, but all five $2 million prizes have been claimed.
The winning ticket was sold at a Cumberland Farms gas station located in Orange.
Additionally, a winning $1 million “Diamond Deluxe” ticket was sold at Star Pizza & Variety in Worcester and claimed Tuesday, along with a $100,000 prize from the same game. That winning ticket was sold at a Gulf gas station in Springfield.
Overall, at least 522 prizes worth $600 or more were won or claimed in Massachusetts on Tuesday, including 13 in Springfield, 20 in Worcester and 46 in Boston.
The Massachusetts State Lottery releases a full list of winning tickets every day. The list only includes winning tickets worth more than $600.
The largest lottery prize won so far this year was worth $1 million a year for life, from a winning “Lifetime Millions” scratch ticket sold in Springfield and claimed in July.
