Since being drafted by the Celtics, rookie Jordan Walsh has looked to veteran Al Horford for guidance and a wide array of topics.

Even what movies to watch. Horford was concerned at the holes in Walsh’s cinematic resumé. Horford assigned the 19-year-old some classics that were older than Walsh and in some cases even older than Horford.

“First, they told me I don’t have my Black card since I didn’t know what “Friday” was. So I went and I watched the first one. Then I watched “Boyz ‘N the Hood,” Walsh said. “Then Al told me I had to watch “The Godfather” one and two. He said they’re old, they’re long, but their so good. Once you get that, you can come talk to me again.”

Walsh doesn’t turn 20 until March. The second-round pick from the Arkansas began his first camp with the Celtics on Monday.
