West Springfield’s Mikey Spaulding and Jack Therrien each potted two goals for the Terriers as they were able notch their first win of the 2025-26 campaign, taking down Agawam 6-2 at Olympia Ice Center Monday night.
Spaulding netted two of his club’s first three goals, the second of which would end up being the game winner. Therrien interrupted Spaulding’s scoring with his first marker, and collected his second later on. Spaulding and Therrien each recorded an assist as well.
Timothy LePalme and Cooper Matlasz tallied the other two markers for the Terriers.
Jack Reed was a crucial playmaker for West Springfield as he finished the contest with three assists. Brody Lohnes and Tomas Pedro each collected a helper.
Anthony Barbarini and Braden Parelli both scored for Agawam, with Barbarini recording an assist as well. Casey Thomas and Brady Klinakis also grabbed an assist each on the Agawam tallies.
West Springfield (1-1) looks to make it back-to-back wins as it hosts Minnechaug at Olympia Ice Arena on Wednesday with puck drop scheduled for 8:10 p.m.
As for Agawam (0-2), the Brownies look for their first win of the season on Tuesday as they travel to Lossone Rink to take on Easthampton with a 7 p.m. start.
