Society for American Baseball research Springfield MA Chapter Meeting

Springfield – Society for American Baseball research, Springfield, MA Chapter welcomes Pete Rose and 2004 Red Sox authors at it’s next meeting on Saturday, April 27, at 10 a.m., in the Dodge Room A+B Campus Union Building, Springfield College, 263 Alden Street.

Baseball historian and NY Times best-selling author Keith O’Brien will talk about his new book, “Charlie Hustle: the Rise and Fall of Peter Rose, and the Last Glory Days of Baseball.”

Bill Nowlin, founder of Rounder records, writer and editor of many baseball books, will talk about the new SABR book on the 2004 Red Sox, “Sox Bid Curse Farewell.”

The Society for American baseball Research (SABR) was established in Cooperstown, New York in 1971 to foster the study of baseball past and present, and to provide an outlet for educational, historical and research information about the game. Visit www.sabr.org.

The public is welcome and a donation of $5 is requested. Refreshments will be served and there will be a selection of baseball books, hats and other related items for sale.
