SOUTHWICK – With the recent closing of Jordan Healthcare, which was the town’s only health care provider, the Select Board has approved sending a letter to the Economic Development Commission to “prioritize” finding a new provider.
“I would like to, with the board’s permission, send a letter to the EDC, as part of their activities, to prioritize looking to replace the medical practice on College Highway,” said Board member Doug Moglin during its meeting last week.
Board members Jason Perron and Diane Gale agreed with his proposal, with Gale asking to include in letter the EDC “research how to recruit a medical practice.”
