Thrift shop

Springfield – The thrift shop at St. Gregory Armenian Church, 135 Goodwin St., in the Indian Orchard section, is open Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For more information, go online to saintgregoryarmenianchurch.org.

Church events

Sunderland – First Congregational Church of Sunderland, 91 S. Main St., Serendipity Shop is open on Saturdays, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with items for sale at bargain prices.

Trunk or treat event

Agawam – Agawam Congregational Church, 745 Main St. will hold their annual family friendly Trunk or Treat on Sunday, Oct. 29 from 4 to 6 p.m. There will be a costume parade, candy, trunks to judge and more. Please bring a box of elbow macaroni or a jar of pasta sauce to be entered into a special raffle. Church concert

Springfield – South Congregational Church, 45 Maple St., will host “Music in the Chill of an October Evening,” a concert celebrating the spirits among us on Sunday, Oct. 29, 4 p.m. Organ works by Vierne, Bach, Nevin and Boellmann as well as songs and selected instrumental pieces. Admission is free.

Retreat hosted by author and EWTN television host

Agawam – Author, international speaker, and EWTN television host, Donna Marie Cooper O’Boyle, will lead a half day retreat at St. John the Evangelist Parish, on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the parish center, 833 Main St. She will present Eucharistic history and teaching, and shares secrets from many devoted saints. In addition, Donna-Marie will have her books and DVD’s available for purchase and autographing. Cost is $45 per person. Meat pies are back

Ludlow – St. Elizabeth Parish, 181 Hubbard St. is taking orders and pies will be available through Nov. 3, while supplies last. Each individual size pie is $5. Place online orders at www.stelizabethludlow.org or by calling the Rectory Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 413-583-3467 or the Pastoral Center at 413-547-0239. Please be ready to choose your pickup date when you call. Pick up times will be between 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Please pay in full at the time of pickup with cash or a check made out to St. Elizabeth Parish.

Agawam – Agawam Congregational Church welcomes the community to stop by and join in for their Sunday morning services at 10 a.m. The church is located at 745 Main St.

Christmas Collection Craft Fair

East Longmeadow -The First Congregational Church at the rotary will host its annual Christmas Collection Craft Fair on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will many juried crafters displaying their works both inside and outdoors. The fair will also feature themed gift baskets, a Christmas raffle, bake sale, jewelry shop, a plant room, cemetery logs and a paperback sale. Lunch will be served. There will be free parking on-site and a free shuttle from off-site parking areas.

Rummage sale

Wilbraham – St. Cecilia Parish’s Women’s Club will host a rummage sale on Friday, Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 4, from 8:30 to noon. The sale will be held at the parish center, 42 Main St. Gently used clothing, toys, puzzles, games, linens of all kinds, jewelry, purses, and more will be for sale. Christmas Bazaar

Chicopee -The Holy Mother of the Rosary Church will host their Annual Christmas Bazaar on Friday, Nov. 10 and Saturday, Nov. 11. It will be held in the Parish Hall located at 26 Bell St. Chicopee from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Bazaar will feature gifts, crafts, jewelry, Chinese auction, lottery and gift card trees, games, raffles. We will be serving Polish and American food and baked items. On Saturday, Nov. 11 the church will honor our Veterans with a free lunch of a hamburg or a hot dog and drink as a thank you for their service. Free Admission and take-out is available. Turkey dinner

Agawam – Agawam Congregational Church will be holding a turkey dinner on Veteran’s Day, Saturday, Nov. 11. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and tickets are only $17 complete. The meal will include turkey, stuffing, gravy, butternut squash, roll with butter, cranberry sauce, a gingerbread square with whipped cream coffee, tea, and water. All ticket orders and payments with a check, money order, or cash must be received by Wednesday, Nov. 8 at noon in the church office which is open from 8 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday. Take-out orders will be available, also with prepayment. There will be no walk-in orders. The church hall will have festive, fall decorations at all the tables. In addition, each attendee will receive a small American flag honoring all Veterans and a Thanksgiving sticker. Additionally, everyone will see other holiday decorations in preparation for the church’s Holly Wreath Bazaar to be held on Saturday, Nov. 18, starting at 9 a.m. For more information, contact the church at 413-786-7111 or office @AgawamCong.com. Upcoming church trips

Springfield – St. Catherine of Siena presents a bus trip to see the Boston Bruins take on the New Jersey Devils on MLK Jr. Day, Jan. 15 at 1 p.m. Tickets going quickly. St. Nick’s Christmas Bazaar

Ludlow – St. Nick’s Christmas Bazaar will be held on Saturday, Nov. 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the St. Elizabeth Parish Pastoral Center, 201 Hubbard St. Parking and admission are free. Approximately 42 vendors will be selling stained glass, wood states, ornaments. Primitive décor and much more. Free attendance raffle, lottery ticket raffle and a giant vendor raffle. Stop by St. Nick’s Café for a light lunch at a nominal price.

Vendors wanted for Christmas bazaar

Agawam – The Agawam Congregational Church wishes to announce that they have set the date for their Christmas Bazaar. It will be held on Nov. 18, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will include a bakery, raffles, vendors, cafe and a Santa’s workshop. If you wish to be a vendor, applications are available at the church office. Additional adoration times

Agawam – St. John the Evangelist Church, 833 Main St. will offer weekly adoration ceremonies on Wednesdays between noon and 5:30 p.m. The Holy Mass takes place at 6 p.m. Lawn signs are available for Agawam residents announcing the Year of the Eucharist. Free weekly Veterans lunch

Holyoke – Community Roots Neighborhood Services offers a free hot lunch for Veterans and their adult immediate family (Parents or spouse). The lunches are every Thursday at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 485 Appleton St. Questions? Email Gina Nelson at crnsholyoke@gmail.com.
