WESTFIELD — After interviewing two candidates to lead the DPW Monday night, an ad-hoc committee that included the city’s water commissioners and the Board of Public Works appointed Randy Brown, who has been Southwick’s DPW director for the last 11 years.
“This is a home run,” said City Councilor Michael Burn after Brown was appointed by a unanimous vote of the committee.
Brown was one of two finalists for the position, which is currently held by Francis Cain, who has served as the acting director for five years.
