The National Weather Service issued a report at 4:04 p.m. on Thursday for strong thunderstorms until 4:30 p.m. for Berkshire County.
Look for penny-sized hail (0.75 inches) and wind gusts of up to 40 mph.
“At 4:04 p.m., Doppler radar tracked a strong thunderstorm over Clermont, or near Saugerties, moving southeast at 30 mph,” says the weather service. “Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.”
