A possible fireworks explosion is under investigation in Mashpee Wednesday.
The incident happened at the New Seabury Country Club in Mashpee. The golf course, located on 2 Red Brook Road, was scheduled to have a fireworks show at 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
Pyrotecnico, the company in charge of the fireworks show, told WCVB one of its crew members was injured in the explosion.
“Our crew was assembling the annual fireworks display when a fireworks shell ignited. This ignited the cases that were on the ground,” the company said in a statement to the news outlet.
