Jericho, The Bureau for Exceptional Children and Adults Inc. in Holyoke, has a new executive director, Marie McCourt. Jericho is a nonprofit organization in the Diocese of Springfield which provides religious and social services throughout Western Massachusetts. Its mission is to bring dignity, respect and wholeness into the lives of people with disabilities and their families.
McCourt comes to Jericho from the Collaborative for Educational Services in Northampton, where she served as the director of operations for her department. McCourt had been with CES for nearly 20 years.
McCourt also served as board chair for Neighbors Helping Neighbors.

Monson Savings Bank announces the addition of John G. Williams to its team as assistant branch manager of the East Longmeadow branch.
In his new role, Williams will assist in the day-to-day oversight of the East Longmeadow Branch.
Williams previously served as a personal banker at Fifth Third Bank in Sarasota, Florida. His career also includes roles at American Eagle Financial Credit Union, TD Bank, Santander Bank, and Capital One Bank.
Williams, a resident of East Longmeadow, recently volunteered his time to help beautify the town of East Longmeadow by picking up litter in Heritage Park. He also enjoyed an afternoon at the Pleasant View Senior Center as a “celebrity player” in the weekly chair volleyball game.

Baystate Health announces the appointment of Kathleen (Kate) Healy as chief legal officer.
Healy brings more than 25 years of experience in health care law. Most recently, she was a partner in the Health Law Group at Robinson & Cole LLP and co-chair of the firm’s Artificial Intelligence Team.
Prior to that, Healy served for nearly two decades as partner and vice chair of the Health Care & Life Sciences Group at Verrill Dana LLP. She has also held interim and outside general counsel roles for numerous health systems.
Healy earned both her Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Notre Dame. A former Peace Corps volunteer and project director, she has also held board leadership positions with health organizations that include Konbit Sante Cap-Haitien Partnership, the Maine State Bar Association (Health Law Section), Boston Bar Association (Health Law Section Steering Committee), Massachusetts Bar Association (Health Law Section Council) and VNA Home Health and Hospice.

Tapestry Health announces the appointment of Brad Riley as chairperson of its Board of Directors. Riley brings over two decades of experience across nonprofit and government sectors, spanning federal, state, local, tribal and territorial levels. Riley succeeds Jeremy Melton.
From 2022 to 2025, Riley served as a senior research associate at the National Academy of Public Administration in Washington D.C. He also held advocacy and leadership positions at organizations such as HOPE Works and STEPS to End Domestic Violence in Vermont, leading efforts in emergency housing, anti-trafficking, and victim services.
Riley holds a master’s degree in public policy and administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, an Ed.M. in educational policy and organizational leadership from the University of Illinois, and a B.S. in workplace diversity and equity from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Holyoke Community College President George Timmons was honored as one of the “100 Men of Color” during a black-tie gala at The Bushnell Theater in Hartford, Conn.
The “100 Men of Color” awards ceremony, sponsored by The Archer Foundation, recognizes the contributions of men of color in education, business, government, entertainment, and other industries, and the impact they have made on the lives of people in Connecticut and Western Massachusetts.
A Hartford native who now lives in West Springfield, Timmons was chosen to speak on behalf of all 100 honorees as the 2025 class “valedictorian.”
Timmons, HCC’s president since July 2023, holds a bachelor’s degree in financial management from Norfolk State University, a master’s degree in higher education from Old Dominion University, and a Ph.D. in higher education from Bowling Green State University. He is the first African American man to serve as HCC president.
A portion of the proceeds from the annual gala support mentorship programs and scholarships for young men of color who graduate from high school and plan to attend college.
The theme of this year’s gala, the 12th annual, was “Building Bridges, Breaking Barriers.”
