
Florence Bank announces the promotion of eight team members.
Sarah Darling of Greenfield was promoted to senior vice president; Tim Deshaies of Holyoke, Elissa Langevin of Wilbraham, Dave Limero of Whately and Erin Prickett of Springfield were named first vice president; and Kim Downing of Wilbraham, Alissa Fuller of Ware and Andrew Tulis of Northampton were elevated to vice president.
Darling joined the bank’s team in 1985 and has 40 years of banking experieRichardnce. She currently serves as board member and treasurer for the Lilly Library in Florence.
Deshaies has 39 years of banking experience and has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in business administration from Western New England College.
Langevin joined the bank’s team in 2007 and has 40 years of banking experience. She serves as treasurer and board member of the Belchertown Day School.
Limero joined the bank in 2015 and has 16 years of banking experience.
Prickett is a 15-year employee of Florence Bank. She has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Connecticut and is a graduate of the New England School for Financial Studies.
With 41 years of banking experience, Downing oversees the Chicopee branch. She serves as a board member for the Therapeutic Equestrian Center in Holyoke and committee member for The Chicopee Boys and Girls Club.
Fuller joined the bank’s team in 2022 and has 25 years of banking experience. She will continue to oversee Florence Bank’s overall compliance program.
Tulis is a 14-year employee of Florence Bank and will continue to be responsible for ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

Holyoke Community College recently welcomed Richard Tremblay of Chicopee as its assistant vice president of people and talent.
Tremblay oversees the office of people and talent, formerly known as human resources, part of the division of people, culture and equity.
He comes to HCC with more than two decades of experience in human resources, most recently as human resources manager for Prefere Melamines LLC in Springfield. Before that he served as director of human resources at Helix, formerly the Children’s Study Home, in Springfield, and senior human resource administrator at Square One in Springfield. He has also taught psychology at American International College as an adjunct professor.
Tremblay holds a master’s degree in human resource development from American International College and a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Northern Michigan University. He is also a certified life coach and recently completed training with the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination in conducting internal investigations and handling discrimination complaints.

Milestone Funeral Partners announces the promotion of Dakota T. Mullen to the role of integration specialist. Dakota is a Massachusetts Licensed Funeral Director, employed with Milestone’s partner firm, New England Funeral and Cremation Center in Springfield.
Mullen will be working alongside Vincent G. Iocovozzi, director of integrations.

Greenfield has hired Paul Newell as the Department of Public Works’ new director. Newell has worked in the Greenfield DPW since January 1989.
During his three decades in the DPW, Newell gained experience across several divisions. He worked as an assistant mechanic, mechanic, master mechanic, foreman, assistant field superintendent, and field superintendent. Additionally, Newell served as the city’s first certified tree warden.
Newell was named the Greenfield DPW deputy director in September 2024.

Bay Path University announces that the U.S. Department of State and the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board have awarded Assistant Professor Marie Meckel a Fulbright Specialist Grant.
With this award, Meckel will partner with the Wa West District Health Administration, Ghana Health Service, to launch a cervical cancer screening and prevention initiative. The project is designed to exchange knowledge, foster partnerships and expand access to preventive health care in underserved communities.
Meckel’s two-week project will feature four community outreach events offering free cervical cancer screenings, HPV vaccinations, and health education to women in remote villages.
