Pedestrian, 15, seriously injured in crash involving Mass. driver with suspended license

Reading police charged a driver Tuesday afternoon after he got into a crash with a 15-year-old pedestrian while driving with his license suspended, according to police.

Woburn resident Liam Robinson, 25, is facing a charge of driving after a license suspension for operating under the influence in connection with the crash, Reading police said in a press release.

Officers responded to the crash on Lowell Street around 3:30 p.m. after receiving a report that a pedestrian had been hit, police said. There, they found a 15-year-old suffering from serious but not life-threatening injuries.

The teen was brought to Massachusetts General Hospital in an ambulance, police said. Robinson stayed at the scene and cooperated with police, but they discovered his license suspension.

Police are still investigating the crash, but no further charges were filed as of Tuesday evening.
