The interim board president of the New North Citizens’ Council says she wants a forensic audit of the Springfield nonprofit’s operations, after failing to get answers from its executive director.
Questions about the council’s finances arise as the board continues an internal investigation into the circumstances of the firings of two employees in July – and as new information comes to light about travel expenses incurred by its two top executives.
