No charges filed in Quincy crash that killed 86-year-old bicyclist, DA says

No charges have been filed in connection with a crash that claimed the life of an 86-year-old bicyclist in Quincy last week, the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office told MassLive.

Authorities received several 911 calls about the bicyclist, who was later identified as Li Dain Wu, being struck by the car near 479 Southern Artery shortly after 11:15 a.m. Friday, Quincy police said on Facebook.

Emergency personnel arrived found Wu with serious injuries. Quincy Fire Department units and EMS gave him medical aid and took him to South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash stayed on scene, according to police.

The crash remains under investigation by Quincy police and the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office. Anyone with information about the fatal crash can call Quincy police at (617) 745-5824.
