A coming-of-age psychological drama is filming in New England and looking for local residents to cast.
The movie, “The Starfish,” is about a young man who is inspired to pursue his longtime crush while hosting friends at his family’s lakeside cottage, Backstage wrote.
“Hanging out on the lake by day and talking around the campfire by night, this film will follow in the tradition of other coming-of-age films which explore character relationships over the course of one long summer day,” the website states. “Unlike other coming-of-age films, these characters will be older (heading into their senior year of college) exploring how the characters still live in the past of high school, are trying to break free from it, or embracing it like never before.”
Filming will take place for a few weeks in July in Milton, New Hampshire.
Travel, lodging “and good meals” are guaranteed, the website states. However, the exact pay rate is undetermined.
“Profit share or deferred pay plan more likely,” the website states.
