The National Weather Service predicts less than an inch of snow accumulation.
Worcester can expect snowfall beginning in the late morning and continuing through the afternoon and evening. Precipitation will be light but sustained into Saturday morning, leaving 1 to 3 inches of snow.
Higher temperatures in Boston through the weekend will keep precipitation from turning to snow, but the city will stay wet for a while. Rain is in the forecast for the next seven days, beginning Friday morning and continuing through the weekend before turning into scattered showers next week.
Cape Cod & the Islands will also avoid snow, as the area has a 20% chance of rain on Friday, with more showers expected over the weekend.
