Drivers should drive slowly and with extra caution due to fog across Massachusetts, the National Weather Service warned Tuesday.
“Motorists traveling during the early to mid-morning hours
should be prepared for rapidly changing visibility over short
distances,” the warning stated.
The warning was for the entire state. But in some areas, forecasters said, visibility could drop to one quarter of a mile or less.
It is expected to improve by mid-morning as the fog starts to burn off, the weather service said.
Once the fog clears, the National Weather Service predicts “abundant sunshine and warm temperatures” with highs of 85 degrees Tuesday.
