
A $4 million prize won from a Monopoly-themed scratch ticket on Thursday is tied for the largest prize of the year in Massachusetts so far.
The ticket, sold at Tewksbury Convenience Store, was from the game “$4,000,000 Monopoly Doubler,” and was the first $4 million grand prize of four won in that game.
The $10-dollar scratch ticket has four grand prizes of $4 million and 10 $1 million prizes, one of each has now been won. Odds of winning a $4 million prize are 1 in 3,780,000 while odds of winning a $1 million prize are 1 in 1,512,000, according to the lottery.
The $4 million prize was the largest of 492 winning tickets sold or claimed worth at least $600 in the state on Thursday, including 15 in Springfield, 28 in Worcester and 52 in Boston.
The Massachusetts State Lottery releases a full list of winning tickets every day. The list only includes winning tickets worth more than $600.
The other three largest lottery prizes won in Massachusetts in 2024 were all $4 million prizes. One was claimed on Tuesday, Jan. 16, another was claimed on Tuesday, Feb. 27 and the third was claimed on Tuesday, March 19.
