Mass. man pleads guilty to sexually assaulting teens at residential school

A 44-year-old man pleaded guilty this week to 23 charges in connection with the rapes of students at a residential school for youth where he worked, according to the Berkshire County district attorney’s office.

Douglas Agyeh, of Pittsfield, pleaded guilty in Berkshire Superior court to nine counts each of rape of a child with force and rape of a child, aggravated by age. He also pleaded guilty to five counts of indecent assault and battery on a person over 14, Berkshire County District Attorney Timothy J. Shugrue’s office said in a statement.

Agyeh was sentenced to 10 to 12 years for the charges of rape and three to five years for the charges of indecent assault and battery, which will be served concurrently. He will serve his sentence in state prison, Shugrue’s office said.
