A 40-year-old man is facing criminal charges after investigators found fentanyl and methamphetamine during a search of a Lawrence daycare center, Essex County District Attorney Paul Tucker’s office said.
Antonio Solano, of Lawrence, was arraigned on charges of trafficking in 36 grams or more of fentanyl, two counts of trafficking in more than 10 grams of fentanyl, distribution of methamphetamine, distribution of a Class B substance, and possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance on Monday. He entered a plea of not guilty and a judge set his bail at $25,000, Tucker’s office said in a statement.
On Friday, authorities conducted a search of the Sixta Child Daycare on Ames Street, uncovering “numerous plastic bags of suspected drugs” including fentanyl and methamphetamine, according to the statement.
