A man was killed in a shooting police believe was not a random act of violence on Tuesday afternoon in Pittsfield, according to the Berkshire County District Attorney’s office.
Police learned of a man with possible gunshot wounds on Fenn Street around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. When an officer arrived, they found an unresponsive man in the driver’s seat of a vehicle with “apparent” gunshot wounds, the district attorney’s office said in a statement.
Paramedics attempted life-saving measures on the man but he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the statement.
