When Erin Laffond was a teenager in Rowe, Massachusetts, Sean Loomis, her coach on the Mohawk Trail Regional School girl’s ski team gave her special attention, she told legislators in June. Later, as an adult, she came to see it as grooming, she said.
“He gave me compliments like I was ‘easy on the eyes’ or, ‘If I were in high school during my younger years, I would have been trying to date you,’” Laffond said at a legislative briefing in June.
