Last $10,000 a month for 10 years lottery prize claimed in Massachusetts on Thursday

The final remaining $10,000 a month for 10 years lottery prize was claimed on Friday in Massachusetts, the lottery announced.

The prize was from the $5 scratch ticket game called “Decade of Dollars,” and was the last of the three available prizes in the game to be claimed. The scratch ticket game was released on Feb. 21.

The winner had bought the $10,000 a month for 10 years winning scratch ticket in Topsfield, from a convenience store called Country Farms.

Besides the “Decade of Dollars” prize claimed on Oct. 26, a $1 million and two $100,000 prizes were also claimed and won.

The $1 million prize was from the scratch ticket game called “777,” and was sold from a store called Lucky Mini Mart in Middleborough.

The two $100,000 prizes were both from the daily “Mass Cash” drawing, which had the winning numbers of 21, 22, 24, 29 and 33 during the drawing on Thursday night. One of those winning tickets was sold from a Big Y in Spencer, and the other was sold from a restaurant called JJ Food in Somerville.

Overall, there were at least 525 lottery prizes worth $600 or more won or claimed in Massachusetts on Thursday, including 14 in Springfield and 14 in Worcester.

The Massachusetts State Lottery releases a full list of all the winning tickets each day. The list only includes winning tickets worth more than $600.

The two largest lottery prizes won in the state of Massachusetts so far in 2023 were $33 million and $31 million Mega Millions jackpot prizes. The tickets were each sold a week apart.

The $33 million ticket for the Tuesday, Jan. 24 drawing was purchased from a Stop & Shop in Belchertown. The winner came forward to claim the prize on March 1 through the Skylark Group Trust.

The $31 million Mega Millions jackpot ticket was won on Jan. 31. The winning ticket was bought in Woburn from a Gibbs gas station, and the winner claimed the prize on March 8 through S & L Trust.
