SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield Housing Authority has received an “F” in some subjects in a recent federal review, which the agency’s director contends is because of a software problem.
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development issued a letter to Springfield Housing Authority Executive Director Denise Jordan and the authority Board of Commissioners on Thursday, questioning if the city’s housing agency can correct its deficiencies on its own, and asking if HUD should look for a new way to ensure affordable housing assistance to Springfield.
