The NBA Cup begins on Friday, Oct. 31 and one of the matchups for the first day of action sees the Boston Celtics visiting the Philadelphia 76ers at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia.
This NBA game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. EDT and will be broadcast on Prime Video. Fans looking to watch this game can do so on Prime Video, which offers a free trial and access to exclusive NBA games as well as plenty of other content, including WNBA and Thursday Night Football NFL games, tons of documentaries across sports and a plethora of tv shows and movies.
These teams faced off to open their seasons and the Celtics ended up blowing a 13-point fourth quarter lead, losing 117-116. While Jaylen Brown and Derrick White both put up 25 points, that wasn’t enough as Tyrese Maxey had 40 and the No. 3 pick form the 2025 draft, VJ Edgecombe, posted 34 in his debut, the third-most ever in an NBA debut.
Since then, Boston dropped two more games and is now on a two-game winning streak, sitting at 2-3. Last time out was a 125-105 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers in which Brown went for 30, Sam Hauser had 21 off the bench and six other players also scored at least 10 points, including Payton Pritchard, Josh Minott and Neemias Queta who all had double-doubles with Pritchard getting 10 assists, Minott getting 15 rebounds and Queta getting 13 boards. That trio also combined for eight steals.
Philadelphia is 4-0 and has been off since Tuesday, when it completed a 19-point second half comeback on the road against the Washington Wizards to pull out a 139-134 overtime win. Joel Embiid had 25 points, seven rebounds and five assists in 23 minutes while Maxey, the league’s leading scorer, had 39.
