
The biggest show of the summer is here and for the first time ever it is a two-night event, as on Saturday, Aug. 2 and Sunday, Aug. 3, WWE SummerSlam will take place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
The show is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. EDT both nights and will be broadcast on Peacock, which offers access to a huge library of WWE content including replays and archives of old premium live events and weekly shows along, with a pre-show and post-show with a press conference for all PLEs, and has plans starting at $7.99 a month.
The show will be headlined by a rematch of the WrestleMania 41 Night 2 main event, but this time it is John Cena defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes, and this time around, it will be a Street Fight.
There is a Steel Cage Match set for the United States Championship as Solo Sikoa defends the title against former champion and running mate, Jacob Fatu. There is also a No Disqualification Match for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship with Becky Lynch defending her championship against the original title holder, Lyra Valkyria.
In total, there are nine title matches across the two nights, with all six matches for Sunday being contested for a championship.
There is a Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship featuring six teams, and the Women’s Tag Team Championship will also be defended when Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez of The Judgement Day take on Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss.
Roman Reigns joins forces with his cousin Jey Uso to take on Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, and Drew McIntyre teams with Logan Paul to take on Randy Orton and four-time Grammy nominated recording artist Jelly Roll.
There is a Triple Threat for the Women’s World Championship with Naomi defending against the last two title holders, Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley. Gunther defends the World Heavyweight Championship against CM Punk and Tiffany Stratton defends her WWE Women’s Championship against Jade Cargill.
