In just over a week, Inter Miami FC will head to Gillette Stadium to face off with the Revs for just the second time since Lionel Messi joined the club.
Last year, the Argentinian shined bright in front of 65,612 fans at Foxboro, a venue record for Gillette.
In the match last April, which resulted in a 4-1 win for Miami, Messi scored a pair of goals and recorded an assist for the Herons.
This year, Maimi is heading back to New England on Wednesday, July 9 for a 7:30 p.m. match against the Revs.
Just like last year, the stadium’s seating and parking will be expanded beyond the typical home game for the club with over 40,000 spectators expected once more.
Tickets for the contest are still on sale with the lowest starting at $115 according to Ticketmaster.
Spots in The Fort are still available beginning at $117. A look at Messi and Miami from the club level will cost a bit more, as much as $700.
The most premium seats, the Presidents Club field level spots, are priced in the thousands. To sit by the visitors bench, over $3,000, to sit next to the South goal, over $5,000.
For a typical home match, those field level seats sell in the mid to low hundreds.
In terms of getting to the match, for anyone who doesn’t want to make the drive to Foxboro, the MBTA is offering a special event train service for the match.
For a $20 round trip ticket, fans can get to and from Foxboro on the commuter rail. The special train will leave South Station at 5:25 p.m. and stop at Back Bay at 5:30 p.m. and Dedham Corporate Center at 5:50 p.m. before reaching the Foxboro station at 6:25 p.m..
According to the club, the return train will leave Foxboro 30 minutes after the match ends.
Tickets are available through the MBTA’s mTicket app.
For those looking to take the regularly scheduled commuter rail to Foxboro Station, the Revs emphasize that the final train departs for Boston at 10:49 p.m. If fans want to return on the special event train, they must purchase the separate ticket.
If fans are unable to make the trip to Gillette, the match against Miami will be streamed on Apple TV’s MLS Season Pass, like all other Revs matches.
Prior to the match against Miami, New England will head on the road to face Portland on Saturday, July 5.
