BOSTON — The Bruins missed a chance to get very close to the Rangers in the race to win the Eastern Conference and in the process let the Panthers get close to them with Tuesday’s 4-1 loss to Carolina at TD Garden.
The chaos for the second wild card continued too as four teams are within two points of the Capitals, who currently hold it.
