Here’s what the weather is supposed to be like on St. Patrick’s Day in Mass.

If you have plans to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day outside this weekend, then you might want to bring an umbrella.

First starters, the scattered showers you woke up to Friday are supposed to trickle off by later this morning, the National Weather Service said.

Friday will be another mild day along along and south of the Mass. Pike, and cooler across Northern Massachusetts. Temperatures will range from 45 to 50 in Northern Massachusetts and 60 to 65 degrees in Connecticut.

However, forecasters are predicting scattered rain showers across southern New England on Sunday, March 17.

The wet weather is mostly going to come in the morning, with “some breaks of sun late in the day,” the weather service said in a statement. The greatest chance for rain will be between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. around Worcester and Boston, and between 7-10 a.m. in Springfield. Chance of precipitation is between 30%-40% statewide.

In addition, temperatures will cool down next week with highs in the 40s, the weather service said on X.

You will have another chance to soak up the sun before your St. Paddy’s Day festivities, however. Partly sunny skies and “another March day above normal temperatures” on Saturday, forecasters said.

Highs should be in the upper 50s to lower 60s before dropping back into the high 40s next week. The rain is expected to develop overnight Saturday. More isolated showers could come Monday and Tuesday as well.
