SPRINGFIELD — A year ago, dozens of people crammed into a City Council meeting begging officials to find ways to cut their soaring gas and electric bills. Now Gov. Maura T. Healey is announcing a partnership with Citizens Energy that pledges to do just that.
In a visit to the Ray Jordan Senior Center Thursday, Healey spoke about her multipoint Energy Affordability Independence and Innovation Act, submitted this week, that is slated to lower energy costs by $10 billion over 10 years statewide.
